MRA Director Brisbo gives Michigan marijuana market overview & proposed changes
Yesterday, Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency Director Andrew Brisbo joined the Four20 Post to discuss Michigan’s adult-use & medical marijuana sales, attempts to drive caregivers out of the market, cannabis events that could include food and drink, cannabis consumption lounges, microbusiness license growth, edibles, and Delta-8 THC.
Some highlights included the news that just 106 communities out of 1,773 in the state have opted in for recreational cannabis with 13,396 having prohibitive ordinances. Also a clarification that food & beverage service is allowed at consumption lounges if permitted by local authorities. Check it out – Brisbo starts around 9 minutes in.
You can view the proposed rules under “MARIJUANA FACILITY/ESTABLISHMENT ADMINISTRATIVE RULES” on the MRA website.
Also note that Brisbo will be the keynote speaker at the Michigan Cannabis Expo (July 13-14) at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mt. Pleasant.
