Smoke on the Water Cannabis Festival coming to Muskegon?
WZZM TV-13 reports that the Muskegon City Council has approved the city’s first pot party called “Smoke on the Water” on July 24, 2021:
“This is a unique situation that people aren’t used to being able to participate in a group setting,” said Tracy Powers, Vice President of Agrimed.
Muskegon-based dispensary Park Place Provisionary will hold the “Smoke on the Water” event July 24 from noon until 8 p.m. as long as it gets approval from the state. It will take place in parking lots at the provisioning center on Park St.
The event will include live music, food trucks, lawn games and on-site consumption of recreational marijuana.
“Just like if you were going to drink a beer and watch the bands play, it’ll be the same kind of thing,” said Powers.
The event is over a year in the making, but had to be shut down before the state could approve it last year because of COVID-19 restrictions. Organizer Roberta King hopes to see the event bring a large crowd to the Muskegon area.
“I hope people come from all over the state and they’ll stay overnight and hang out and hear our bands and eat from our great food trucks,” said King.
