By the Numbers: Digging into Michigan’s changing cannabis industry

While crunching some numbers  from the Marijuana Regulatory Agency’s Statistical Reports for a project, we got some insight into the growth of the Michigan cannabis market that we decided to share with all of you.

For starters, total sales of medical & recreational marijuana products for the third quarter (July – September) of 2021 were up 52% over 2020.

That is almost exactly the same as the first 9 months of 2021 are up over last year. Adding 52% to 2020 sales gives us an eye-popping back of the envelope estimate of $1.76 billion dollars in sales for 2021!
