Pincanna Market opening Friday in Kalkaska
DBusiness Magazine reports that Farmington Hills-based Pincanna plans to open its first retail store near Traverse City. Pincanna Market is located at 786 S. Cedar St. in Kalkaska. It will be the city’s first medical and adult-use marijuana retailer and will offer curbside pickup only as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
The store offers a boutique-style design that includes natural materials and specialty fixtures. The 1,700-square-foot area also includes a consulting area for medical patients and kiosks for easy ordering.
Pincanna has a cultivation and manufacturing facility under construction on 185 acres in Pinconning (south of Standish). It will include the company’s farm, a 135,000-square-foot cultivation space with greenhouse and indoor environments, and lab, a manufacturing facility focused on producing concentrates, edibles, topicals, and other premium products.
“We’ve been enthusiastically welcomed by local civic and business leaders throughout the process, and we’re excited to not only launch the Pincanna brand here, but to be the first cannabis retail store to open in Kalkaska,” says Robert Nusbaum, founding partner. “We look forward to meeting the needs of the community with our many product varieties and knowledgeable consultants.”
The company plans to open other Pincanna Market locations throughout the state and addition to its own brand, Pincanna will offer Radicle Genetics, Michigan Organic Rub, Funky Extracts, Superior Solventless, and the Darren McCarty Brand. More at Pincanna.com.
