First week of legal cannabis sees $1.6 million in sales
NewsThe Detroit Free Press reports that in the first eight days of legal weed sales, $1.6 million of recreational marijuana was sold at the five currently licensed retail shops open around the state. Three of those shops either sold out or had limited supplies of cannabis products.
Recreational Marijuana Licenses Coming by November’s End
NewsThe Marijuana Regulatory Agency received 58 applications for pre-qualification and 43 for operating license applications in the week after the state opened its licensing process on Nov. 1. Regulators have already approved 41 applications for pre-qualification and are expected to issue the first licenses by the end of November.
