The annual Hoxeyville Music Festival takes place August 18-20 in Wellston. In 2023 they have once again partnered with cannabis outfitter Dunegrass Co. to provide cannabis sales and a cannabis lounge. The team at Dunegrass and cannabis event organizer and cultivator, Tom Beller of Real Leaf Solutions are excited to take Dunegrass Gardens to a new level.
“We are very excited to provide this option for our attendees, and look forward to growing both this experience within the event as well as our partnership with Dunegrass,” says Jake Robinson of Hoxeyville Productions.
That excitement is shared by Dunegrass COO Eric Piedmonte who adds, “Dunegrass is beyond excited to work on the first music festival turned cannabis event in the state. Until now all the on-site cannabis events have been cannabis first, entertainment second. We are flipping the model on its head by partnering with a long-running festival like Hoxey adding to it.”
Now in its 21st year, Hoxeyville is the Midwest’s premier Americana and Roots festival with two stages featuring national touring artists with headliners including Marcus King, The Wood Brothers, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Keller Williams and a host of midwest folk & roots all stars like Lindsay Lou, May Erlewine, Luke Winslow King, The Crane Wives and of course Airborne or Aquatic which includes festival founder Jake Robinson!
In addition to stellar music, the festival is known for a safe, family-friendly environment, unbelievable food, and an easily traversable site with all kinds of outdoor recreation activities close by.
Dunegrass Gardens fits right in with the vibe Hoxeyville has created by providing comfortable furniture, an array of cannabis consumption options, fun activities, and of course, quality Michigan cannabis flower, pre-rolls, and edibles for purchase from Dunegrass and their retail partners.
Although you can easily see and hear the stages, they’re even bringing the music of Hoxeyville to Dunegrass Gardens with performers including Hoxey veteran and bluegrass phenom Mark Lavengood. “As a performer, I really appreciate having a safe space for people to consume cannabis and for the culture as a whole to proliferate,” Mark explains. “It is a strong medicine and has gone hand-in-hand with music for decades!”
Tom Beller of Real Leaf Solutions sums it all up. “As Michigan’s first licensed Cannabis Event Organizer, I’m super excited to be working again with the gang from Hoxeyville and Dunegrass. Last year we set a new standard for cannabis events at Hoxeyville, and we can’t wait to blow your mind with the space we’re creating this year.”
