We wanted to share Women in Cannabis Networking, an engaging event that’s that’s coming this Thursday (September 8) to the Wealthy Street Theater in Grand Rapids.
The event is presented by Beyond the Bar, whose co-founder Nancy Gilbert explains the event and how it centers women. “After Covid and our experiences doing cannabis festivals, we wanted to reach out to a different crowd – women in their 30s and 40s and beyond. It was important for us to create a safe & welcoming environment for women to explore the cannabis space. At our first event, we heard some stories from the women who presented that they had never told in public before.”
“We want our events to be fun, but there’s got to be an educational component as well,” adds co-founder Mel Spencely.
With a diverse sent of presenters touching on aspects of the cannabis industry including health, 420-friendly lodging, and cannabis event planning, this event definitely fits the bill. And while there’s no cannabis sales, there are some cannabis companies on hand. The cost to sign up is just $10, and you’ll get more details on the event including the after party that starts at 5pm when you sign up.
