JARS Dance Battle ~ Saturday, May 1st
It’s time for West Detroit dance mavens and their fans to stretch their limbs in anticipation of a COVID-safe JARS Dance Battle to celebrate the opening of a new JARS Cannabis dispensary on the famed 8 Mile this Saturday, May 1st from 3-8 PM. As cannabis dispensaries pop-up all over Michigan, locally owned and operated JARS Cannabis continues to create unique and interactive experiences for the community it serves.
Open to all (18+) and free, the JARS Dance Battle will be a fun and competitive reason for West Detroit and surrounding area residents to revel in the talent of its own in a real-life setting. The 1v1 dance battle will welcome all forms of street-dance including Hip-Hop freestyle, Breaking (aka B-Boying), Locking, Popping and House and of course, the Detroit-created dance style known as “Jit”. Registration is open to anyone looking to take home the cash prize of $500 and bragging rights.
JARS Cannabis is inviting West Detroit and surrounding areas to cheer on their community and learn more about the benefits of medical Cannabis inside their brand-new location. There will be budtenders available to chat with and special offers for the Grand Opening Weekend. All state COVID rules will be adhered to.
In celebration of the West Detroit Dispensary opening and its opening day Dance Battle, JARS Cannabis and partner Viola will also be donating $3,500 to Motor City Street Dance Academy.
